Day 1: Mu Cang Chai – Kim Noi – Vo Ngua – Bamboo Forest (L, D)

Meet your experienced local rider and begin your motorbike adventure through the spectacular mountain landscapes of Mu Cang Chai. Ride through the beautiful rice-terraced valleys of Kim Noi and Vo Ngua. These areas are surrounded by dramatic mountains and traditional H’mong villages, offering fantastic scenery and excellent opportunities for photography.

Enjoy the journey along quiet mountain roads while taking in the changing landscapes and local life along the way. Continue by motorbike to the peaceful bamboo forest. Leave the bikes and take a short walk through the towering bamboo trees. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, peaceful surroundings, and natural beauty of the area.

Stop at a local restaurant for a traditional Vietnamese lunch and enjoy regional dishes from Mu Cang Chai. Continue the ride to Heaven Gate, a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views over the surrounding mountains, valleys, and terraced rice fields. Take some time to relax, enjoy the spectacular views, and capture photographs before continuing the journey.

Visit a traditional H’mong house and discover more about local culture and daily life. Experience the traditional beeswax painting technique, a unique H’mong craft that has been passed down through generations. Ride back to the homestay and relax after a full day on the mountain roads. Enjoy a traditional local dinner and spend the night at a cosy local homestay, surrounded by the peaceful mountain scenery.

Day 2: La Pan Tan – Khau Pha Mountain Pass (B, L)

Enjoy a local breakfast at the homestay before getting back on the motorbike with your rider. Ride towards La Pan Tan, one of the most spectacular areas of Mu Cang Chai. Admire the dramatic layers of rice terraces carved into the mountainsides and discover the traditional lifestyle of the local H’mong communities.

Continue along the winding mountain roads towards Khau Pha Pass, one of the most impressive mountain passes in northern Vietnam and one of the country’s famous “Four Great Passes.” Enjoy spectacular views of rugged mountains, deep valleys, traditional villages, and expansive rice terraces along the way.

For those looking for an extra adrenaline rush, take the opportunity to experience paragliding from the famous Khau Pha flying site. Soar above the mountains and rice terraces and enjoy an unforgettable bird’s-eye view of Mu Cang Chai. Paragliding is optional, subject to weather conditions and local operator availability.
