What you can expect
Embark from the Mucem, at the entrance to the Old Port of Marseille, for a 2-hour excursion on a semi-rigid boat, limited to 11 participants. Accompanied by a local skipper, discover Marseille from the sea before heading to Château d'If and the Frioul Islands.
From the outset, admire the Mucem, Fort Saint-Jean, the Cathédrale de la Major, and the entrance to the Old Port from a unique vantage point.
Then approach the famous Chateau d'If, a fortress that became a prison and was made world famous by Alexandre Dumas's The Count of Monte Cristo. Your skipper will tell you the history of the site and some anecdotes about the Marseille harbour.
Continue sailing around the Frioul archipelago, among limestone cliffs, wild creeks, and crystal-clear waters. Depending on the sea conditions, discover the surroundings of the islands of Pomègues and Ratonneau, the Calanque des Cambrettes, or other coves accessible only by boat.
Followed by a swimming stop in a secluded cove in the Frioul. Enjoy the turquoise water to swim, relax, and explore the seabed. Masks and snorkels are available for a snorkelling session.
The exact swimming location is chosen by the skipper based on wind, sea conditions, and visitor numbers to ensure the best conditions for safety and comfort.
After swimming, enjoy a final panoramic view of Marseille during the drop-off at the Mucem.
