Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Your first stop is Nabalu, where you'll have the chance to snap stunning photos of Mount Kinabalu from the viewing platform. Take your time browsing the local market stalls, which offer everything from handcrafted souvenirs to fresh tropical fruits and unique keepsakes.
From there, you'll head to Kinabalu Park, where you can explore the botanical gardens and learn about Borneo's extraordinary alpine plant life. If you're lucky enough to visit during blooming season, you can pay a small fee to see the rare Rafflesia flower—one of the world's largest and most remarkable blooms—up close.
For lunch, you'll stop at a local restaurant near the park (meal not included). It's a great opportunity to sample regional favourites like fried noodles or claypot chicken rice.
After lunch, the tour takes you to Desa Dairy Farm, perched at around 1,500 metres above sea level. Enjoy the crisp, cool mountain air as you feed calves and goats, and be sure to try their fresh milk, yoghurt ice cream, and cheesecake. The farm also offers postcard-perfect views of Mount Kinabalu, making it a photographer's dream.
Your final stop is Poring Hot Spring. Here, you can choose to stroll along the canopy walkway for a small fee (though please note it's currently closed for maintenance), or simply unwind in the open-air foot bath. After a full day of discovery, you'll be driven back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
