Start your day with a pickup from Kampala and head eastwards towards Jinja. Make your first stop at Sezibwa Falls, just 32 km away from Kampala. Experience a 7-meter cascading waterfall, ancient cultural shrines, and a small forest hosting diverse birds and primates.
Proceed with your drive to Lugazi and venture into Uganda’s sprawling 306 square-kilometer tropical rainforest known as Mabira Forest. Embark on an adrenaline session on the high-canopy zipline that offers a mix of high-octane thrills and serene ancient rainforest views. Glide up to 250 metres high across the Musamya River canopy.
Later, take a 40-minute guided nature walk to the hidden Griffin Falls. Relax by the cascading waters while you spot several endemic plant species, the forest’s avian diversity, primates, and beautiful butterfly species and moths.
Sign out of the mighty rainforest and proceed to Jinja, arriving in time for lunch. By around 2:30 PM, report at the official starting point of the boat cruise to the Nile River’s source. Experience the exact spot where the waters of Lake Victoria spill out to begin their 6,650-kilometer journey to the Mediterranean Sea.
Stand at the Speke monument for photography, spot a variety of water birds, and do some local craft shopping before cruising back to the docking point for your drive back to Kampala.
