Embark on a full-day journey to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and the vibrant sights of Ho Chi Minh City. Discover the historical War Remnants Museum or Independence Palace, admire the architecture of the Saigon Central Post Office and Notre-Dame Cathedral (under renovation), and savour a delicious Vietnamese lunch along the way
7:30 - 8:00 AM: Start your day with pick-up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, where your guide will provide an overview of the day.
Travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, about 1.5 hours outside the city. Explore this vast underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, learning about its construction and strategic importance. You’ll see living areas, storage rooms, and escape routes, and can even crawl through a section of the tunnel.
After visiting the tunnels, return to Ho Chi Minh City for a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
***Please note: The Cu Chi half-day option does not include lunch.
In the afternoon, visit either the War Remnants Museum or the Independence Palace, depending on availability and the condition of the sites ( Note: as some sites may be under renovation or closed). The War Remnants Museum offers a deep look at the Vietnam War, while the Independence Palace showcases modern Vietnamese history.
Next, visit the Saigon Central Post Office, an iconic French colonial building, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a beautiful example of French architecture ( Note: currently under renovation, but you can still admire the exterior). If time permits, stop by Ben Thanh Market for shopping and souvenirs.
04:30 - 05:00PM: Conclude your day with a return to your hotel.
