What you can expect

Join an incredible day trip to explore an ancient land rich in cultural and natural wonders, recently recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Bai Dinh Pagoda complex, Trang An Grottoes, and Mua Cave.

Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. If your hotel is outside the Old Quarter, meet at Hanoi Opera House. Depart for Bai Dinh – Trang An – Mua Cave, enjoying scenic rural landscapes along the way.

Arrive at the Bai Dinh Pagoda complex, one of Southeast Asia’s largest pagodas, located at the foot of Dinh Mountain. The site offers breathtaking views of the river valley below and limestone karsts scattered throughout the area. Explore some of the pagoda’s highlights, including 500 stone statues of Arhats (La Han), two massive bronze bells weighing 27 and 36 tonnes, the Quan Yin statue with thousands of arms and eyes, and the grand Gautama Buddha statue. Enjoy the sacred atmosphere and learn fascinating Buddhist stories from your knowledgeable guide.

Savour a delicious lunch with local cuisine at a nearby restaurant. Continue to Trang An Grottoes, a natural wonder of towering limestone mountains rising dramatically from rice fields. Embark on a traditional sampan boat ride along the serene river, passing through mystical caves, including Toi (Dark) Cave – 320 metres long, Sang (Light) Cave – 90 metres long, and Nau Ruou (Cooking Wine) Cave – 250 metres long. Each cave unveils hidden valleys and pristine beauty, creating a sense of timeless tranquility. You may even spot goats leaping between cliffs.

Arrive at Mua Cave and trek up Ngoa Long Mountain to enjoy a panoramic view of the rice fields and stunning natural landscapes. Return to the bus and head back to Hanoi. Finally, be dropped off at your hotel.
