Day 1: Arrival in Farap and Transfer to Koytendag

Arrive at the Farap border and meet your guide. Get assistance with all border formalities and pay any fees in cash. Then, transfer to Koytendag, stopping for coffee or a light breakfast along the way.

Check in at a guesthouse in Koytendag and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Take in your first views of the Koytendag Plateau, stopping for photos at scenic viewpoints. If time permits, take a light walk in Umbar Dere Canyon.

In the evening, enjoy a dinner featuring traditional Turkmen cuisine and free time to enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Day 2: Koytendag Full Exploration

After breakfast at the lodge, set off on a full-day excursion to the main natural attractions. Visit the Dinosaur Plateau, famous for fossilised dinosaur footprints, and take a walk through the scenic Umbar Dere Canyon.

Explore the Kirk Gyz Gorge, the legendary canyon of the “Forty Girls.” Discover caves, rock formations, and mountain trails, and keep an eye out for rare local flora and fauna. Enjoy lunch in nature or at the lodge.

In the evening, capture sunset photos from panoramic viewpoints before having dinner and spending the night in Koytendag.

Day 3: Morning Exploration and Return to Farap

Have breakfast at the lodge before a short morning visit to nearby viewpoints or seasonal waterfalls. Take some final photos and shop for souvenirs before departing for the Farap border.
