Depart from Durban or Pietermaritzburg and travel through the scenic Midlands towards the foothills of the Drakensberg, arriving in Underberg. From Underberg, transfer to a specialised 4x4 vehicle for an exhilarating ascent up the iconic Sani Pass, a dramatic mountain pass offering breathtaking views and thrilling switchbacks as you make your way into the mountain kingdom of Lesotho.

At the top, visit a traditional Basotho village, where you will experience authentic local culture, interact with the Sotho people, and learn about their unique way of life in this high-altitude region.

Continue to the renowned Sani Mountain Lodge, home to the highest pub in Africa, where you can relax and take in the spectacular mountain scenery.

After your visit, descend the pass by 4x4 and return to Underberg, before travelling back to Pietermaritzburg in the late afternoon, where the tour concludes.
