This tour offers us half a day to get lost in the history, culture and nature of the southern sector of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. An unforgettable experience! We will begin by visiting the archaeological complex of Tipon and its extensive carved stone channels through which water still flows. This site is an example of the amazing knowledge of hydraulic engineering that the Incas had. We will also tour its platforms, where a variety of agricultural products grow to this day. The pre-Inca citadel of Pikillacta and its beautiful agricultural terraces will also be part of our tour. The town of andahuaylillas could not be out, where behind the modest façade of the San Pedro Apostol church, we will discover a true treasure. The “Sistine Chapel of America” dazzles with its gold plating, murals, and canvases, as well as its beautiful organ decorated with angels and cherubs. The vaulted ceiling is extensively painted with flowers and fruits from the area, in an attempt to portray the Andean idiosyncrasy.
