What you can expect
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco + City Tour
After being picked up from Cusco Airport, you'll enjoy a guided city tour exploring the historical heart of the ancient Inca capital. Highlights include the Qorikancha Temple and archaeological sites like Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, and Tambomachay, offering an introduction to Cusco's rich cultural heritage.
Day 2: Sacred Valley / Aguas Calientes
Begin with a visit to Pisac’s Inca terraces and continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch with panoramic views. Explore Ollantaytambo's Inca structures before heading to the train station to journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.
Day 3: Machu Picchu
Visit the historic Machu Picchu Sanctuary early in the morning. A guided tour will reveal the citadel’s fascinating history, architecture, and stunning mountain views. Optionally, hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for even more spectacular vistas. Afterwards, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and head back to Cusco.
Day 4: Humantay Lake
Start the day early with a hike to Humantay Lake, a breathtaking turquoise lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. After taking in the stunning scenery and tranquility, return to Cusco with a scenic descent and enjoy lunch on the way.
Day 5: Rainbow Mountain / Journey to Puno
Early in the morning, hike to Rainbow Mountain, famous for its vibrant colours. Enjoy spectacular views of the Andes and take time to capture photos. Afterwards, return to Cusco and board a night bus to Puno.
Day 6: Uros Islands - Taquile Island
Explore Lake Titicaca with a boat trip to the Uros Islands, made of reeds, and learn about the local community. Continue to Taquile Island, known for its stunning views and high-quality textiles. After a local lunch and cultural exploration, return to Puno.
Day 7: Transfer to Puno Airport
On the final day, you will be transferred to the Puno Airport for your departure, ending this incredible tour through Peru’s cultural and natural wonders.
