From Sfakia, continue by boat to the remote village of Agia Roumeli. The boat ride itself is part of the experience, offering panoramic views of the southern coastline and access to a location that remains untouched by road connections.

Upon arrival, enter Samaria Gorge for a light walk of approximately 2.5 km, leading to the famous Iron Gate. This narrow passage, with its towering vertical cliffs, is one of the most iconic points of the gorge. The route is accessible and manageable, allowing you to experience the essence of Samaria without committing to the full hike.

After reaching the Iron Gate and taking in the surroundings, return the same way to Agia Roumeli. The rest of the day is yours to relax by the sea, swim, or enjoy a meal at a local seaside tavern, recharging in a calm and natural setting.
