Your experience begins at the Catania Cruise Terminal, where your driver will meet you for a comfortable journey towards the slopes of Mount Etna. As you climb through changing landscapes, enjoy spectacular views before reaching Rifugio Sapienza at approximately 2,000 metres (6,500 feet).
Take your time to experience Etna’s distinctive volcanic scenery, characterised by ancient lava flows, black volcanic rock and dramatic crater landscapes.

Optional cable car and 4x4 experience: For a higher-altitude adventure, purchase a ticket for the Funivia dell’Etna cable car to approximately 2,500 metres. From there, specialised 4x4 vehicles or other available excursions can take you farther up the volcano, accompanied by authorised mountain guides.
