Some days you plan. This one you just show up for!
The Emerald River Adventure is the original 3glav Adventures day out, the one we've been running from Bled for over 20 years, and it still does the same thing to people: it makes them go quiet, then reach for the camera, then ask why nobody told them Slovenia looked like this.
We pick you up in Bled tow area, load up the minivan (max 8 guests per guide, so it never feels like a bus tour) and point it straight at the wild side of the Julian Alps. There's no rigid timetable. Your local, English-speaking guide reads the weather, the light and the mood of the group, then decides where the day should go. That's how you end up at the good stops instead of the crowded ones.
Along the way you'll climb the hairpins of the Vršič Pass, walk to the thundering Peričnik Waterfall, and stand where the Soča River is born, watching it run that impossible emerald green that gives the whole trip its name. Three short hikes, around 30 to 45 minutes each, all rewarding and all optional.
Lake Bled, the Karavanke range, Jasna Lake, the Russian Chapel, Boka Waterfall, the peaks around Bovec… you'll pass more beauty in one day than most people see in a year. Tell your guide what you're curious about and they'll point it out as it comes.
In the afternoon, if you're up for it, add an optional raft down the Soča itself (extra fee). Bouncing through emerald rapids in one of the cleanest rivers in Europe is exactly as good as it sounds.
This isn't a tick-box sightseeing run. It's a proper day in the mountains with people who genuinely love this corner of the world: small groups, real stops, room to breathe.
Bring good shoes, a swimming costume if you fancy a dip, and let us handle the rest.
