Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Calakmul, an ancient Maya city surrounded by protected tropical forest. Your professional guide turns impressive structures into a storey you can understand, while we handle the transport and logistics required to reach this remote destination.

There are three clearly different options. What you choose is what you get — no vague wording and no surprises.

Archaeological Site Only: Explore Calakmul’s archaeological site with your guide. This option focuses on the ancient city and does not include the jungle hike or Bat Cave.

Ruins + Guided Jungle Hike: Visit the archaeological site, then get out of the vehicle and into the rainforest on a guided jungle trail. Don’t just see the jungle through a window — walk through it and look for wildlife. Bat Cave is not included.

Ruins + Jungle Hike + Bat Cave: Explore the archaeological ruins, hike the jungle trail and finish at sunset as more than 3 million bats emerge from the cave in a spectacular natural phenomenon. This option includes all three activities: ruins, jungle hike and Bat Cave.

Pickup is available from Bacalar, Xpujil, Chetumal and Xul-Ha. Your drop-off can be different from your pickup: finish in another of these locations and avoid arranging another transfer.

For groups of 3 or more, transport is provided in an SUV, minivan or van according to group size. No need to arrange transport, guiding or multiple providers yourself.

We keep the price competitive on purpose. Instead of loading the tour with extras you may not want or use, the price focuses on what matters: transport, professional guiding and the activities you choose.

Entrance fees are not included and are paid separately at the official ticket point. We tell you this clearly before you book rather than hide mandatory expenses behind attractive wording. Meals are not forced into the package just to make it look more complete.

Calakmul is remote and it is a long day — we do not pretend otherwise. If you choose the Bat Cave, the day extends until the natural bat emergence around sunset. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, and the timing and intensity of the bat emergence vary with natural and seasonal conditions.
