What you can expect

  • Experience two of India’s most extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Sites on a private full-day tour from Aurangabad. This personalised journey takes you to the magnificent Ajanta and Ellora Caves, showcasing ancient rock-cut architecture, exquisite murals, and centuries of history—all in one seamless day.

Your tour begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel, airport, or railway station in Aurangabad. Travel comfortably in a private, air-conditioned vehicle as you head first to the Ajanta Caves, located about 100 km from the city. Along the way, enjoy scenic countryside views and short refreshment stops.

At Ajanta Caves, explore a complex of 30 Buddhist caves carved between the 2nd century BCE and 6th century CE. Admire world-famous murals, sculptures of Buddha, and beautifully preserved prayer halls and monasteries. A professional guide will explain the historical, artistic, and spiritual significance of each cave, bringing this ancient site to life.

After visiting Ajanta, continue your journey to the Ellora Caves, one of India’s most impressive archaeological wonders. Ellora features 34 caves representing Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain traditions, symbolising religious harmony. The highlight is the awe-inspiring Kailasa Temple (Cave 16)—a massive monolithic structure carved from a single rock, considered a masterpiece of ancient engineering.

Throughout the tour, enjoy the flexibility of a private experience, allowing you to explore at your own pace, take photos freely, and ask questions. After completing the sightseeing, relax on the drive back to Aurangabad, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location.

This private day trip is ideal for travellers who want a comfortable, informative, and time-efficient way to see Ajanta and Ellora in one day.
