What you can expect

Explore history and culture on a 6-day tour through the Peloponnese and Zakynthos regions, and take a ride on the Cog Railway. Enjoy five nights at a 3 or 4-star hotel, and experience history and culture at archaeological sites and UNESCO sites.
Day 1:Begin the tour with pickup in Athens, and make your way to the world-famous Acropolis, built during the Golden Age of Pericles. Admire the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion, and the Porch of Maidens.
Continue a short pleasant walk and pass by Herodion and Dionysus theatre, and visit the new Museum of Acropolis. Drive along the mainland coast to the Peloponnese Region, and stop to see the Canal of Corinth and ancient Corinth. Stay overnight in Nafplio.
Day 2: Stroll the narrow streets of the old city of Nafplio, and explore its shops and restaurant. Enjoy the view of the small island of Bourtzi, in the middle of the city's harbour, the fort on the sea, and Nafplio's trademark, the Castle of the Town.
Make a stop at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus of the 15,000 spectators, and visit Ancient Mycenae, the former centre of Greek civilisation, home to the kingdom of the mythical Agamemnon, and stay overnight at Olympia.
Day 3: Get an early start to the day, and visit the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the place where the first Olympic Games took place in 776 BC, in the lush valley formed by the Alfios River. See the temple of Zeus, the most celebrated in Ancient Greece.
Catch the ferry to Zakynthos, check in to your hotel, and enjoy a day of leisure. Rest and explore the centre of Zakynthos and have dinner at a traditional tavern before staying overnight in Zakynthos.
Day 4:Finish breakfast and relax as the driver transfers you from your hotel to Zakynthos Marina to take the local boat cruise to enjoy one of the best ways to explore the island.
Stop first at the blue caves and watch the sun hit the water and change its colour. See the magical turquoise shade of the water that changes to emerald green, and move on to the next stop to see the shipwreck.
Explore the beach, well-known throughout the world, and return to the Marina before the driver transfers you to your hotel. Stay overnight in Zakynthos.
Day 5: Board the ferry from Zakynthos Port to reach Diakofto to take the Cog Railway which links Kalavrita with Diakopto through the Vouraikos Canyon. Travel over streams climbing the narrow gorge up int o the mountains, through tunnels, and over waterfalls.
Continue the tour at the mysterious magnificent “Cave of the Lakes”, a rare creation of nature. See small and large lakes, 13 in total, with different colours in each one. Stop and stay overnight in Dimitsana.
Day 6:
Start the day with a hike along the path that leads to the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Prodromos and Monastery of Philsofos. See one of the oldest monasteries in Greece, that was built in the 19th century. Admire a beautiful view of the Lousios River under your feet.
