Itinerary
8:00 a.m. - We will meet at the main square of Ayacucho and board the bus in search of the impressive Puyas de Raimondi, plants that can reach up to four metres high!
Our first stop will be at the archaeological complex of Pumacocha, where we will explore the architectural remains that served as a refuge for the Inca elite. Among its constructions, the tower, the sundial (Intihuatana) and the remains of the palace stand out.
Afterwards, we will take a break to have lunch on your own and recharge your batteries.
With renewed impetus, we will head to the archaeological complex of Vilcashuamán, a city of great political relevance in the 15th century. Inside, the impressive trapezoidal plaza seats 20,000 people. To the south, stands the ancient Temple of the Sun, on top of which the church of San Juan Bautista was built in the 16th century.
After immersing ourselves in the rich history of the Inca culture, we will return to Ayacucho, where we will arrive around 8:00 p.m..
