What you can expect

  • Discover a unique and transformative experience in Favela Santa Marta, one of the most iconic communities in Rio de Janeiro.

This is not a traditional tour. It's a complete immersion in the local culture, where you actively participate in the everyday life of the favela alongside residents.

The experience begins with an introduction to the history of the community and a climb up the incline, revealing incredible views of the city. Along the way, you'll see iconic spots, such as the Michael Jackson space, and understand the cultural importance of the favela.

    Then, the experience changes.

You will go to a local market to choose fresh ingredients and, together with a local, learn how to prepare typical Brazilian dishes and the traditional caipirinha.

More than a cooking class, this is a time for sharing: real stories, experiences, and human connections.

The tour also includes participation in a community social project, where you can learn about sustainable initiatives and, depending on the day, take part in activities such as planting or composting.

The experience ends with a shared meal, celebrating culture, exchange, and the coming together of different realities.
