What you can expect

Discover the treasures of Malta’s sister island, Gozo, on this full-day tour. Explore its spectacular coastline and rugged landscapes, see historic sites that offer far-reaching panoramas, and admire remarkable buildings such as the Ggantija temples.

Leaving Malta behind, you board a ferry for the short crossing to the tranquil island of Gozo. From deep-blue waters and luscious scenery to architectural landmarks and mysterious history, this island radiates charm and natural beauty. Stroll through the medieval streets of the capital—Victoria—also known as Rabat, where you find the huge defensive stone walls of the fortifications that rise above the town. Free time will be given to anyone who would like the enter the 17th-century baroque cathedral, and gaze up at the remarkable trompe l'oeil painting on its ceiling.

Venture into the smaller village of Xaghra, and visit the Ggantija temples—some of the oldest standing reglious structures in the world. The temples are estimated to be 5,800 years old and were dedicated to the Great Earth Mother, a goddess of fertility.

Complete your trip by learning about the ancient craft of Bizzilla lace making, renowned on the island, and purchase some fine bobbin lace products—a truly memorable souvenir.
