Enjoy a half-day in the great outdoors, with spectacular panoramas, legendary stories, and the discovery of the Savoyard landscapes.
You will follow a hiking route that is accessible to both beginners and more experienced hikers. The hike is 6 km long with a positive elevation difference of 300 metres. Regular breaks will allow the ascent to be paced and give everyone time to fully enjoy the different vantage points, while discovering the local flora and fauna. The trail winds through alpine pastures and forests, gradually offering exceptional panoramas of the Aix basin, Chambéry, and the surrounding mountains.
Throughout the hike, Anaïs, your live guide, will offer you observation times to better understand the landscapes before you. She will explain the formation of the Bauges and Chartreuse mountains, how to read the terrain, and the major geological stages that shaped this unique region. Those who are curious will also be able to discover the local legends linked to certain iconic peaks and passages, ranging from popular beliefs to ancient tales.
At the summit, the Croix du Nivolet reveals an impressive 360° panorama, a true natural balcony overlooking lakes, valleys, and plains. A special moment to admire, photograph, and simply take the time to contemplate this exceptional landscape.
