The storey
Dug from the 10th century under the fortress of Chinon, these cellars are a unique place where the spirit of Rabelais still resonates. The mill tower (located at the far west of Fort du Coudray) overlooks the entrance. In the middle, there are 2 remarkable wells directly connecting these cellars to the fortress. The first one is a stone extraction well, and the second one is a water well with a total depth of 96 metres!
Breeding
It's in this magical universe that the wines slowly improve in peace thanks to a perfect humidity and a constant temperature of 12°.
The great vintages of Château de la Bonnelière are aged in demi-muids for 12 to 36 months.
