The experience offers three different quad excursions, designed to explore the most spectacular landscapes of Mount Etna and the Alcantara River Valley. There are two short itineraries in the Alcantara Valley (about 1 hour and 2.5 hours) and the Etna Route (approximately 4.5 hours), a captivating tour over lava rock that lets you discover the volcano.

Each participant can drive the quad independently or share the ride with a passenger: each quad can carry up to two people. The duration of the excursions may vary depending on environmental or operational conditions.

Alcantara Valley Route: This itinerary allows you to discover one of the most fascinating natural environments in the Etna area. On board the ATVs, you’ll depart from the Alcantara Gorges towards Francavilla di Sicilia, following dirt roads surrounded by nature. Over the centuries, the cold, rushing waters of the Alcantara River have carved through ancient lava flows, creating a striking landscape reminiscent of a natural canyon.

Etna Route: Starting from the Alcantara Gorges, the tour leads up to 1,850 metres in altitude, crossing dirt tracks and nature trails. You will reach Castiglione di Sicilia, offering stunning views of the valley below. Continuing towards Linguaglossa, you’ll pass scenic routes from which the Vulcanetto of Moio Alcantara—the most distant crater in the Etna system—can be seen. The itinerary crosses several lava flows from different periods and, within the forest, allows you to visit a fascinating lava-stone cave before reaching Piano Provenzana.
For the Etna Route, only two departure times are available: 09:00 or 14:00.
