Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
Drive from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park, a journey of approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, stop in Masindi for a lunch break. After lunch, continue the drive to Murchison Falls for an afternoon game drive, arriving at the lodge in the early evening.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
Start the day with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Early morning drives are ideal for spotting wildlife as animals are more active and the temperatures are cooler.
Expect to see a variety of animals, including lions, hyenas, giraffes, buffaloes, and possibly leopards. The fresh morning light also enhances the experience, offering great opportunities for photography.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River. This scenic cruise provides stunning views of the famous Murchison Falls from the river and allows you to observe a range of wildlife along the banks, such as hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
Day 3: Drive to Entebbe
Begin the day by driving to the top of Murchison Falls to witness the breathtaking view of the Nile River as it forces its way through a narrow gorge. This viewpoint provides a unique and dramatic perspective of the powerful waterfall.
After exploring the falls, drive out of the park and stop in Masindi for a lunch break and then continue on the journey back to Entebbe. En route, have the option to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walk with the rhinos, offering an opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close and learn about their conservation. Arrive in Entebbe in the early evening.
