What you can expect

This activity starts in a tropical garden 20 minutes from La Fortuna Town, with over 45 stingless bee hives, also you will observe a variety of species of ornamentals and healing plants , diversity of hummingbirds, birds, butterflies, and other pollinating insects.
During the activity our visitors will reveal the unique flavour of Costa Rica Honey. We will tour the meliponarium in search of Costa Rica's native bees. We will learn about the importance of bees for tropical ecosystems and for humans, their evolutionary history and how these amazing insects make honey. During the tour, you will delight in tasting the most exotic monofloral and multifloral honeys at the base of each hive. You will learn about different medicinal plants and their benefits, while applying a mask made with honey and 100% natural organic products.
