  • Experience a magical night in Scotland's capital with Edinburgh Zoo’s Giant Lanterns, returning from 13 November 2026 to 21 February 2027. This season’s spectacular outdoor trail features an out-of-this-world space safari theme, transforming the zoo after dark with handcrafted, glowing light installations.

    Follow celestial pathways past towering astronauts, radiant planets, illuminated moons, and glowing galaxies, alongside cosmic wildlife and interstellar creatures. Running on select evenings throughout the winter, this family-friendly attraction offers an unforgettable evening out for travellers of all ages. Special sessions - including adult-only evenings and quiet nights - are also available on select dates.

    Your visit directly supports the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) and its wildlife conservation projects around the world. Book your entry in advance to secure your preferred date for Edinburgh’s premier winter light trail!
