Overview

The history of Boulogne-sur-Mer: 25 centuries of history, from the Morins, people from the 4th century to your days. Boulogne-sur-Mer is also a Roman stronghold, then a strategic point of defence against the English in the Middle Ages before being in the 19th century, the ideal place, according to little Napoleon, to try to invade England, but also the birthplace of one of the fathers of Egyptology, Auguste Mariette.

The tour is a walk of about an hour in the old town. Do not hesitate to bring comfortable shoes and clothing (hat/hat, umbrella, raincoat, etc.).
