Explore Denver and its surroundings on a guided tour. Visit the scenic area of Confluence Park, the historic LoDo, and the Capitol. Drive to the foothills and see the Red Rocks Park Amphitheatre, Lake Evergreen, and the gravesite of Buffalo Bill.
Begin your tour in Denver, where gold was first found at the scenic area of Confluence Park. Venture into the historic LoDo where General Larimer first established Denver, but now this area is a block of swanky restaurants and boutiques like the artsy RiNo area.
Drive towards the Capitol. On the way, pass by the Denver Mint and the Denver Municipal Building where the Mayor’s office is located as well as Civic Centre Park.
From the Capitol, drive to the Capitol Hill area where there are many interesting mansions including the iconic Molly Brown Museum. Next to the museum, there is a great place to grab a cup of coffee and relax before continuing your journey up to the foothills.
Leave Denver and ascend to over 6,400 feet and visit The Red Rocks Park Amphitheatre. There are miles of hiking trails intertwined with cinnamon-hued sandstone cliffs offer incredible views of city centre Denver.
Drive up Bear Creek Canyon to Evergreen and see the gorgeous mountain “Lake Evergreen” which is actually a reservoir but it is a great place for paddle boarding in the summer.
Onward, go to the top of Lookout Mountain and visit the gravesite of Buffalo Bill. After you hear some amazing stories about his life and his accomplishments, descend to the quaint cowboy town of Golden and then to Denver. If hungry, have a late lunch at one of the many restaurants in Golden before heading back home.
