One of Delft’s unique charms is its population of wild horses, believed to be descendants of horses left behind during colonial times. They roam freely across the island’s open plains - an incredible sight for nature lovers and photographers alike.

After exploring Delft, continue by boat to Jetty and take a ferry to Nainativu Island a place of deep religious significance. This sacred island is home to Nagapooshani Amman Kovil (snake goddess) a major pilgrimage site historically worshipped by the Naga people who are ancestor of Srilanka

Please note that If the Delft ferry is delayed due to bad weather and there isn’t enough time to catch the last ferry from Nainativu Island, we may need to skip the visit to this Island. We will instead take you to another ancient Kannaki Goddess Temple at Punguditivu Island to ensure you still have the best possible experience.
