Discover the spectacular landscapes of the Canadian Rockies on a full-day adventure from Calgary. This tour operates year-round, with an itinerary adapted to each season.
Summer and early fall
Travel along the Icefields Parkway and discover some of Banff and Jasper National Parks’ most impressive locations. Possible stops include the Athabasca Glacier viewpoint, Sunwapta Falls, Tangle Creek Falls, Waterfowl Lakes, Bow Lake, and Peyto Lake.
From approximately May to late September, enjoy a short walk towards the Athabasca Glacier viewpoint. Experience powerful waterfalls, turquoise lakes, ancient glaciers, and unforgettable mountain scenery.
Winter and early spring
During the colder months, some waterfalls, viewpoints, and sections of the Icefields Parkway may be inaccessible because of snow, ice, road closures, limited daylight, or safety conditions.
Winter alternatives may include Abraham Lake, Lake Louise, Bow Lake viewpoint, Peyto Lake, Bow Falls, Banff Town, and other accessible scenic locations. Ice bubbles at Abraham Lake are a natural seasonal phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.
Enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks at one of the scenic stops. Along the way, keep an eye out for local wildlife such as mountain goats, deer, elk, and black bears. Wildlife sightings are possible but not guaranteed.
Important seasonal information
The locations listed are examples and not every stop is guaranteed on every departure. The exact route, stops, and order of the itinerary may change depending on weather, road conditions, seasonal closures, wildfire restrictions, daylight hours, and safety considerations. When a planned location is inaccessible, the guide will select the best available alternative.
