Morning pick up from Bodhgaya city hotels. Then drive to Gurpa Hill which is famous among the pilgrims of Buddhism and Hinduism. It is a place where it is believed that Lord Buddha spent time in meditation. Gurupada Giri is now known as “Gurpa Hill”. Another name for this hill is “Kukkutpada Giri”.
Upon arrival at Gurpa Hill Base take some time to appreciate the scenic surroundings. The base village has small shops for refreshments, but carrying your own water and snacks is advisable. Local guides may be available for hire if you need assistance with the trek.
Then start Trekking towards the Summit. The trail is steep and challenging, with rocky pathways, so maintain a steady pace. Enjoy the lush greenery, occasional Buddhist prayer flags, and serene environment. Along the way, stop at small caves and viewpoints for rest and photography.
After reaching the Summit start exploring the Shrine. At the top, visit the ancient Mahakashyapa Cave and Stupa, where he is believed to have entered deep meditation. Spend time meditating, reflecting, or simply enjoying the peace and panoramic views. Capture beautiful views of the Bihar countryside from the summit.
Then Begin Descent. Carefully descend the hill, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Later depart for Bodh Gaya.
