Take the road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, connecting the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, and drive to Mycenae—the Homeric city of Atreides. According to mythology, it was the town of the legendary king Agamemnon—the Greek leader during the Trojan War—and a setting in ancient tragedies. Here, see the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the imposing Royal Tombs.

Visit Epidaurus and its massive theatre, designed in the 4th century BC and famous for its impressive acoustics, before returning to Athens.
