Pão de Açúcar is a hill complex located in the area of Urca, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is composed by the Morro do Pão de Açúcar (which gives its name to the complex), Morro da Urca and Morro da Babilônia. Along with the statue of Christ the Redeemer, it is the largest postcard of the city of Rio de Janeiro and one of the most famous in Brazil. Due to the unique characteristics, bordered by the waters of Guanabara Bay, it is an international tourist reference for the city.

Jornalista Mário Filho Stadium, better known as Maracanã, the popular Maraca ("similar to a rattle" in Tupi-Guarani, due to the sound of birds that lived there), is a football stadium located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro and inaugurated in 1950, during the term of the then General of Division and Mayor of the Federal District of Rio de Janeiro Marechal Ângelo Mendes de Moraes, having been used in the Football World Cup of that year.

The Cathedral of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, also known as Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro, is a Catholic cathedral located in the Centre of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was inaugurated in 1979, replacing, as the city's cathedral, the Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo. In modern style, it has a conical shape, with 106 metres in diameter, 75 metres of external height, 64 metres of internal height [1] and capacity for 20 000 people standing. The beauty of the building, with straight and sober lines, is due to the colourful stained glass windows ripping up the walls to the dome. His design and execution were coordinated by Monsignor Ivo Antônio Calliari (1918 - 2005).

One of the largest urban forests in the world, it was created in 1861 by the emperor Pedro II to reforest the area affected by deforestation caused by the cultivation of cane and coffee.

The Selarón Staircase [1] is an architectural work located between the Santa Teresa and Lapa districts in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, decorated by the long-time Brazilian artist living in Brazil, Jorge Selarón, who declared it a "homage to the Brazilian people"
