What you can expect

  • Begin your adventure with a convenient hotel pickup in Cusco. Travel by tourist bus through the scenic southern valley, enjoying beautiful landscapes along the way.

Make your first stop at the Tipón Archaeological Site, an impressive Inca ceremonial centre renowned for its sophisticated hydraulic engineering. See how water from the high slopes of Pachatusan Mountain was skilfully channelled through stone canals to irrigate the fertile lands of the valley.

Next, visit the Pikillacta Archaeological Complex, whose name translates to “City of Fleas.” This remarkable walled city belonged to the Wari Empire and served as one of the most important regional administrative centers during the Wari civilization's expansion into the Cusco region.

The final stop is the beautiful Church of Andahuaylillas, a colonial masterpiece often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of America.” Inside, admire an extraordinary collection of colonial artwork, including gilded-framed canvases, colourful mural paintings, elaborate Baroque altars, and the famous multilingual doorway.

Conclude your tour with a return to Cusco 2:30 pm.
