Begin with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 04:00 AM and then go to the town of Pacchanta, where you will have a replenishing breakfast.
After breakfast, the hike will begin from the town. Walk for two hours before arriving at a viewpoint from which you can admire the seven Ausangate Lagoons. Take photos and marvel at the lagoons' different colours.
Once you've had time to appreciate the views, continue walking for another 3 hours. During this time you will see a large part of the seven lagoons up close. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes, mountains, flora, and fauna typical of this place.
The names of the seven lagoons of the Ausangate Cusco are Upper Lake, Otorongo Male, Otorongo Female, Red Lake, Ccomer Lake, Blue Lake, and Alqa Lake. Within the tour of seven lagoons of the Ausangate, you can visit the populated centre of the Community of Pacchanta and its thermo-medicinal waters.
The walk will take you on a large loop which will finish back at the starting point in Pacchanta. Savour a delicious lunch, well earned after the lengthy walk, and then return to Cusco to end the memorable day.
