Your day begins with pick-up by private SUV directly from your hotel in Cusco. You choose the departure time between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM to avoid traffic and have the mountain just for your group.

During the 3-hour drive south of Cusco, your tour guide will tell you about Andean culture and the formation of these mountains. You'll stop at Cusipata to enjoy a hot Andean breakfast: coffee, tea, bread, eggs, fruit, and more.

You'll arrive in Palccoyo at an elevation of 4,900 metres above sea level. Unlike Vinicunca, the hike here is only 45 minutes on flat terrain with no steep slopes.
