What you can expect

  • Day 1: North Cornwall - Harbours, Legends, and wild coastline.

    Begin your journey in North Cornwall, where you’ll explore charming fishing villages and dramatic scenery. Visit Padstow, known for its picturesque harbour and Rick Stein’s seafood restaurants. Continue to Port Isaac, the filming location for the TV series “Doc Martin.”

    Next, head to Tintagel, steeped in Arthurian legend, where you can opt to visit Tintagel Castle, said to be the birthplace of King Arthur. End the day in Boscastle, a quaint coastal village with a natural harbour, and enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea.

    Day 2: West Cornwall - Mining Coast, Shipwrecks, and Atlantic Cliffs.

    On your second day, explore West Cornwall’s rugged coastline. Visit St. Ives, a picturesque seaside town known for its art scene and beautiful beaches. Continue to Botallack Mine, part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, and learn about the region’s mining history.

    Next, visit Land’s End, the westernmost point of mainland England, and take in the breathtaking views. Stop at the Minack Theatre, an open-air theatre perched on the cliffs, and admire the stunning scenery. Explore Mousehole, a Cornish fishing village. Finally, view St Michael’s Mount, a tidal island with a medieval castle, and sample a traditional Cornish pasty.

    Day 3: South Cornwall - China Clay, Castles, and Smuggling.

    On your final day, explore South Cornwall’s charming villages and historic sites. Visit Polperro, a picturesque fishing village with narrow streets and whitewashed cottages. Continue to Fowey, a historic port town with a rich maritime history.

    Next, visit Charlestown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Georgian harbour and tall ships and an iconic Poldark filming location. Stop in Mevagissey, a traditional fishing village with a bustling harbour. Optionally, visit the Eden Project or Heligan Gardens. End your journey with a delicious Cornish ice cream.
