Then, drive towards Meteora, also part of UNESCO World Heritage, dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries. The monasteries are built on top of the spectacular rock formations, creating a beautiful and impressive sight. Overnight in Kalabaka.

Day 2: Meteora – Ioannina – Gjirokaster (Albania)
Head to Ioannina to wander through the cobbled streets of the old town. Visit Ioannina Castle, dating back to the Byzantine era. Within the castle walls, find narrow streets and historic buildings. Day 5: Berat – Drilon – Tushemisht – St. Naum (N. Macedonia) – Ohrid
Cross the border towards N Macedonia but not before making a stop at the national park of Drilon. This monastery complex is part of the National Park Galicica and belongs to one of the strictly protected areas. Overnight in Ohrid.

Day 6: Ohrid (N. Macedonia) – Tirana (Albania)
