What you can expect

Explore the city on single and double decker open-top buses that offer multilingual commentary with personal disposable earphones. Take some of the free multilingual leaflets and maps available on the bus and don't forget to ask some of the knowledgeable staff at every stop if you need assistance.

Board and depart the bus at any of the designated stops that are close to major cultural sites:

  2. Kanoni (Pontikonissi, Vlaherna’s convent)
  3. Mon Repos Palace

  5. Liston Square (Old Fortress, Spianada)
  6. Venizelou street fortification (New Fortress’ Lion statuettes of St Mark of Venice)
  7. Spilia (New Fortress, Campielo)

At the New Port Cruise Terminal visit the farmer’s market and San Rocco Square. See the Municipal Theatre, Serbian Museum, Douglas Monument and the Paleopolis (ancient Kerkyra). Take in the magnificent view of Kanoni. From here, access to Pontikonisi and Panagia Vlahernon Monastery.
Mon Repos Palace is situated on top of Analipsis Hill. The palace is surrounded by a magnificent park. It is a small but very beautiful palace with colonial architectural elements and today it is the archaeological museum. Mon Repos Beach is family friendly and located in Garitsa bay, with crystal clear swallow waters, full facility area. A bar- restaurant is operating through summer season.

In Liston Square, in the east of the city, stands the old fortress. The Spianada is the central square of the island. From here go to the famous Liston that hosts many cafes and restaurants and it’s the main meeting spot for locals. Spilia is the coastal area and one of the entrances into the Old Town, which is a member of the world heritage sites of UNESCO.
