What you can expect

Experience Ancient Rome: Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill & Circus Maximus

Immerse yourself in the heart of Ancient Rome with a full experience of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Circus Maximus, enriched by a captivating multimedia introduction that brings the Eternal City’s most iconic monuments back to life.

Your journey begins with a 25-minute Multimedia Video, produced by a company that has collaborated with UNESCO, BBC, and National Geographic. This visually stunning presentation reconstructs Rome as it appeared thousands of years ago during the Roman Empire, allowing you to appreciate the history and grandeur of the ruins you will later explore.

After the video, dedicated Touristation staff will guide you to the Roman Forum entrance, assisting with security and ticketing. Once inside, explore the Forum ruins at your own pace, walking the streets where everyday Romans once lived, and discover historic sites like the tomb of Julius Caesar. Continue to the Palatine Hill, the legendary birthplace of Rome, where emperors and kings built their magnificent palaces, and enjoy breathtaking views over the Forum below.

After approximately two hours, step inside the Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever built by the Roman Empire. Explore this iconic monument at your own pace and imagine the thrill of gladiatorial combat and public spectacles as thousands of Romans once did.

Your experience also includes a visit to the Circus Maximus, the ancient chariot racing track built in the 6th century BC. This historic site hosted chariot races, gladiator fights, and Roman Games for centuries, making it a key entertainment venue in ancient Rome.

The Touristation staff at the meeting point will provide all the necessary information for your visit. The Circus Maximus experience is flexible, allowing you to explore at your own pace and immerse yourself in the history of Rome.
