Know before you book

  • Red Rocks is an active music venue, and the seating area may close early for sound checks and pre-show preparations. If this affects the full tour experience, your guide will communicate any changes in advance.

What you can expect

Join a small-group walking tour (max 12 guests) of the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Begin at the iconic Trading Post and follow your guide up the scenic trail to the amphitheatre, stopping at the Spirit Statue of John Denver – one of many music legends who’ve performed here.

Walk a short stretch of the Trading Post Trail, where your guide shares a quick geology lesson and stories of dinosaurs that once roamed the area. Nearby Dinosaur Ridge even holds footprints and fossils, including a 90-foot Apatosaurus ajax.

Learn about the Ute people, Colorado’s first residents, who held ceremonies in what’s now Red Rocks Park. Watch for local wildlife as you continue towards the amphitheatre, designed by architect Burnham Hoyt to amplify sound naturally within the towering rocks.

Opened in 1941, Red Rocks has hosted icons like The Beatles, U2, Stevie Nicks, and opera star Lily Pons. Music lovers can explore even more at the Red Rocks Hall of Fame, a tribute to the artists who’ve made history on this world-famous stage.
