What you can expect

  • In the heart of the tropical nature of Goyave, enjoy an authentic immersion in the very history of cocoa alongside Mikael, founder of Natibwa and passionate cultural mediator. This experience invites you to discover all the stages of cocoa processing, from the fresh pod to traditional chocolate.

During the tour, in a Creole garden where fruit trees and iconic Caribbean plants grow, you will discover the secrets of cocoa, the drying and roasting techniques, and then take part in a hands-on demonstration of each step up to the making of a traditional cocoa stick.

The experience concludes with the preparation and tasting of a traditional plant-based hot chocolate, in a convivial atmosphere that encourages discussion about the history of cocoa, Guadeloupean traditions and local expertise.

Combining cultural discovery, hands-on demonstrations and gourmet food tastings, this workshop offers an authentic and enriching experience for travellers who want to explore a little-known aspect of Guadeloupe's heritage.
    For all ages.

    Available in French and English.
