What you can expect

  • Come with us to discover the island of Chikubushima on Lake Biwa on this 4-hour walking and public transport tour!

    Meet us at Kyoto train station, and let's go! We are going to Imazu Harbour on the shores of Lake Biwa. Lake Biwa is the largest lake in Japan and the third oldest lake in the world. You will therefore be able to contemplate this witness to the geological age of the planet.

    We then take the ferry to Chikubushima, an island in the middle of the lake. Lush flora and fauna await you there. It's perfect for nature lovers! Then we venture deeper into this small island to visit the Hogon-ji Buddhist temple and the Itsukusuma Shinto shrine.
