Meet your guide in Maihama, a district in Chiba Prefecture just across the border from Tokyo. While the district is widely known as a gateway destination, its surrounding streets hold a quieter, local drinking culture that most visitors overlook.

Step into a side of Maihama that exists well beyond the main thoroughfares — one shaped by area izakayas and casual bars favoured by locals. Move through up to three distinct drinking pockets within walking distance of one another.

At each stop, settle in, order drinks and food at your own pace, and absorb the atmosphere of venues that reflect everyday Japanese bar culture. Your guide helps you navigate menus, explains the character of each spot, and moves the group along when the time feels right, keeping the evening flowing naturally across all three bars.

By the end of the night, you will have sat inside three different local bars, ordered independently at each, and built a grounded sense of how residents in this part of Chiba actually spend an evening out.
