What you can expect

Begin your journey into the world of Chinese martial arts, a tradition that spans over 3,000 years. Choose between learning Chinese swordsmanship or Wing Chun, each offering a unique insight into Chinese philosophy, culture, and character development.

If you choose Chinese swordsmanship, learn about the sword as a living cultural symbol with over 3,000 years of history. In ancient China, swords were carried by scholars and warriors alike, symbolising honour, justice, and personal power. Emperors commissioned legendary blades, and poets wrote odes to their gleam.

Chinese swordsmanship emphasises grace, fluidity, and the harmony between body and blade. Learn to move with precision and calm, turning your body into an extension of the sword. Each movement carries intention, with attack and defence becoming one seamless motion.

If you choose Wing Chun, discover one of China's most celebrated martial arts, uniquely created by a woman, Master Ng Mui, a Buddhist nun. Designed to be practical, efficient, and suitable for anyone regardless of age or gender, it focuses on close-range combat, fast strikes, and instinctive body positioning.

Train to use “寸劲” (cunjin — close-range power) and leverage an opponent's force against them, making it surprisingly effective even against larger opponents. Wing Chun's philosophy — to intercept rather than resist, to stay centred and relaxed under pressure — reflects a deeper Chinese approach to life: calmness and adaptability as strengths.
