Over 57 million people worldwide have already visited the exhibition. Starting January 30, 2026, plastinator Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley will present their current exhibition in Chemnitz about the human body in the cycle of creation and decay: KÖRPERWELTEN & Der Zyklus des Lebens.
A large number of unique preparations, including many whole-body plastinates, guide us through the human body and explain the individual organ functions as well as common diseases in an easily understandable manner. The focus is on the human body and its changes over time, from conception to old age. KÖRPERWELTEN vividly shows what each of us can do to maintain our health and a high quality of life for as long as possible. There are few events that change the way we see ourselves so profoundly!
All the specimens shown in the exhibition are real. They come from people who, during their lifetime, decided that their bodies should be made available after their death for the training of doctors and interested laypeople.
