The La Mocha via ferrata is located on the peak of the same name, next to the charming village of La Iruela and very close to Cazorla. Easily accessible, both at its entry and exit, it is a stepped route where sections of vertical ascents alternative with walkable ledges. After the final ascent, the huge 40-meter Tibetan bridge awaits us. We'll return to the same starting point by descending the old Senda de Las Ánimas.
The route is about 560 metres, which will take us a full morning in total, during which we'll experience the thrill of admiring the beauty of the Natural Park from above. The views of the impressive Castillo de La Iruela, from when it seems unreachable at the top of the cliff until we rise high above it, will leave no one indifferent. The route is almost privilegedly close to the vulture colonies, and it's no wonder that the huge scavenger birds fly very close to us, even under our feet!
It has a beginner difficulty level and is suitable for anyone who doesn't suffer from an excessive fear of heights and who has basic or moderate physical fitness.
