Enjoy an authentic Romagna culinary experience in the heart of Bologna, in the lively university area of Via Zamboni, where you'll learn to make piadina and Rimini-style cassoni with your own hands.
This is not just a cooking class, but a participatory and convivial experience, based on hands-on skills, flavour and tradition.
Guided by true Romagna artisans, you'll learn how to knead, roll out, fill and cook piadina and cassoni using simple but authentic ingredients, such as extra virgin olive oil, local flours and traditional fillings.
No previous experience is needed: each participant will have their own station, will be able to work independently and learn step by step, in a relaxed, fun and typically Romagna atmosphere.
During the activity, you can sample various typical combinations such as squacquerone and arugula, prosciutto, Romagna salami, cheeses, grilled vegetables and local specialities.
All accompanied by good Romagna wine: Sangiovese, sparkling Pignoletto or Rebola.
Between preparing and toasting, you'll discover interesting facts, traditions and anecdotes about the origins of piadina and the Romagna culture of eating together.
At the end, you can enjoy your creations together with the other participants, in a convivial moment reminiscent of authentic Romagna-style dining.
You will also receive an illustrated handout with recipes, history, tips and variations for making piadina and cassoni at home, with friends or family. You can also take home the products you have made!
An authentic, creative and convivial activity – ideal for individuals, couples, friends and curious travellers who want to experience Bologna through their hands, their taste buds and tradition.
