Day 1: Into the Heart of the Geopark – Ancient Stone Villages & The Angel Eye
Depart from Cao Bang City and skip the main roads to wind through the scenic Ngu Lao and An Lai valleys. Conquer Ma Phuc Pass and trek to Angel Eye Mountain. Unlike standard tours, enjoy a short hike to witness the karst landscape's “heart.”
Journey to Ngoc Con Valley and experience a “fairy-tale” atmosphere by the quay river, far from the typical tourist trail. In the evening, check in at Khuoi Ky Stone Village. Enjoy a traditional dinner with “Happy Water” (local rice wine) and hear stories of Tay culture.
Day 2: Waterfalls, Caves & Golden Grass Hills
Explore Nguom Ngao Cave, focusing on the less-crowded “Magical Branch.” Then, visit Ban Gioc Waterfall. Get an early-access tip to see the falls at their most powerful before the midday rush.
Discover Ba Quang Grass Hill, a panoramic vista of rolling hills that feels more like the Alps than Southeast Asia. In the evening, relax by the riverside at a homestay in Doc Lap, focusing on farm-to-table dining.
Day 3: The Artisan Trail – Meeting the Nung An People
Visit Lung Ri (Yin Yang Tile Village) and watch the traditional roof-making process that has survived for centuries. Engage with locals in Phuc Sen (Forging), Dia Tren (Paper making), and Phia Thap (Incense making). Instead of just looking, learn about the spiritual significance of these crafts.
Take a final scenic drive through the “hidden loops” of Cao Bang before returning to the city. In the evening, transfer to the sleeper bus for your journey back to Hanoi.
