The Starzlach Gorge is a canyon that offers fun for beginners and experts alike.

High jumps and the spectacular final slide at Rudi's Klammhütte make a tour of the Starzlach Gorge an unforgettable experience. Even those who prefer a less extreme experience will find themselves in excellent hands here, as the sections that demand the most courage are not mandatory.

Anyone who has ever followed the water's narrow path through the Starzlach Gorge can get a rough idea of the unbridled energy with which the water carved its way down from Grünten.

For tourists walking up the gorge trail, we canyoners, located a few metres below the path that was painstakingly blasted into the mountain, are a real spectacle and a popular photo opportunity. However, while they can only read about the power of the water and the numerous fossils in the Starzlach Gorge, or catch a distant glimpse of them, we are right in the middle of it all, in a fascinating world where we can run our hands over water mills and stand on petrified nummulites while looking down at an incredible water slide…

The €3 entrance fee to the gorge (collected by the Sonthofen Tourism Board) per person is included in the tour price.
Afterwards, you can stop for a bite at Klammwirt Rudi or the nearby Seppl-Wirt, where you can enjoy hearty Bavarian cuisine in appropriately large portions.
