Hotel Pick-up – 5:45 AM

At 5:45 AM, we pick you up at your hotel in Can Tho by car and take you to the boat station, where you’ll board a traditional wooden sampan — the beginning of your Mekong journey.

Sunrise on the Mekong River

Around 6:00 AM, the river is quiet and the sky begins to glow. As the sun rises over the water, you’ll enjoy one of the calmest and most beautiful moments of the day.

When the river gets busier, you arrive at the famous floating market, where boats sell fruits and vegetables right on the water. Here, you’ll enjoy a hot bowl of noodle soup on the boat — with a vegetarian option available.

Life on the River

You’ll step aboard a local family’s boat to experience river life up close. Fresh pineapple and other tropical fruits will be cut and served right on the boat, while your guide shares stories about how local people live, trade, and make their living on the Mekong River.

Traditional Rice Noodle Factory

You visit a small family workshop where colourful rice noodles are made by hand. This is a working place, not a tourist shop — you’ll see the full process from steaming to drying and cutting.

LUNG NGOC HOANG NATURE RESERVE

About 45 minutes from Can Tho lies one of the Mekong Delta’s hidden treasures — Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve, a 2,800-hectare protected wetland untouched by mass tourism.

Here, you explore the reserve by small traditional boat, gliding slowly through quiet, narrow waterways covered with water hyacinths and aquatic plants. The boat moves deep into flooded forest and natural canals, surrounded by reeds, palms, and mangroves — offering a peaceful and immersive experience of the wild Mekong.

The silence, broken only by birds and insects, reveals a side of the Delta rarely seen by visitors.

What You’ll Experience

• Boat ride through hidden forest canals: Travel along untouched waterways inside the reserve, feeling completely removed from the outside world.

• Watchtower view (25 metres high): Climb to a panoramic lookout offering sweeping views of wetlands, forest, and seasonal rice fields.

• Birdwatching: From the observatory, you may see flocks of birds flying overhead and hear their calls echo across the wetlands.
